We would like to provide you with several updates on the Highway 1 – Lower Lynn Improvements Project. 

Lynn Creek Bridge Construction

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will begin construction of two new Lynn Creek bridges adjacent to the existing Highway 1 Lynn Creek Bridge, tentatively scheduled to begin early June 2018.

Trails crossing underneath the east and west side of the existing Lynn Creek Bridge will be closed starting July 2018 . The west trail is expected to re-open in November 2018, and the east trail will re-open on September 3, 2018 to accommodate students of Lynnmour Elementary School.

Keith Rd. and Brooksbank Ave. Intersection Closure

The intersection of Keith Rd. and Brooksbank Ave. will be closed the weekend of June 22- 25th to accommodate the reconstruction of the intersection to match final design grades. Works will include milling and removal of existing asphalt, infill with new material to raise the elevation, compaction, grading and new asphalt.  Closures are scheduled to be implemented as follows:

Closure of Brooksbank Avenue north of the Park Place Montessori Daycare – Friday June 22, 2018 3:oo am.

Closure of Keith Road from Lynnmouth Ave to Heywood St. – Friday June 22, 2018 7:00 pm

Opening of Keith Rd and Brooksbank Ave. to Traffic – Monday June 25, 2018 5:00 am

On Keith Road, access will be maintained for bus service and emergency vehicles as well as houses at the northwest corner of Keith and Lynnmouth throughout the closure.
